Delivery and Returns

Shopping online and by phone at Brazen

We want your shopping experience to be as easy and enjoyable as possible. You can place your order online, by email or over the phone. Items which are in stock will be sent by courier  in the UK and dispatched the same day as the order is received by a member of the Brazen team. Please note, that Brazen is closed on Sundays and Monday and any orders received on these days will be dispatched on the Tuesday, stock permitting. Overseas deliveries arrive within 1-5 working days in Europe and the US, or within 1-7 working days for the rest of the world.

All orders come packed in beautiful Brazen boxes. Please note that you can also have the gift delivered to the recipient by choosing to provide an alternative delivery address. If the name provided with the delivery address is different from that of the billing address. Please ensure you tick the appropriate options at checkout.

All orders will be paid for in British Pounds but you are able to see the Euro and Dollar currency conversion by clicking on the buttons at the top of each page on the top bar of the site. We endeavour to carry most items in stock, however, occasionally there may be items on re-order or which need to be specially made for you. We will make every effort to have special orders completed for you in as short a time a possible however we advise customers that if there are special request or we need to source a particular stone for we ask you allow up to a max 6 weeks.

Security Guarantee

Brazen web technology is hosted on a secure server using SSL technology (secure sockets layer) to ensure that all credit or debit card transactions are completely secure.

Every time we receive an order, we use fraud checking systems as well as authentication processes before we fulfil it.

When you use our website, the secure server will encrypt all of the personal information you send us, including credit or debit card number, name and address. Encryption turns the information you enter into complex code which is then securely transmitted.

We take all reasonable measures to keep your personal information, order and payment details secure. However, we cannot be held liable if an event beyond our control results in loss to you.

Delivery

UK Next Day Delivery

Delivery to addresses within the UK costs £7.95.

Orders placed before 1pm on Friday, subject to stock availability, will be delivered on the next Monday unless you wish for a a Saturday delivery which will be charged seperately *Need to double check what the extra surcharge is for this* . If you place your order after Friday 1pm, it will be processed no later than the next Tuesday.

We endeavour to dispatch all orders within 1 working day subject to product availability and clearance of payment. Please note that there are some areas within the UK where we cannot guarantee delivery before 1pm the next day, as detailed below.

We deliver within three working days by 5.30pm to the following islands: KW16-17 Orkney; PH30 Corrour; PH41 Mallaig; PH42 Eigg & Kuck; PH43-44 Rhum & Canna

For purchases over £500, delivery within the UK is free of charge. Parcels will need to be signed for in person so please state delivery address as an address where you will be present at the time of delivery (home or work). In the event that no-one is available to receive a Special Delivery item a card will be left providing you with the option to have the item delivered at a later date or to collect your parcel from your local collection depot.

International Delivery

All delivery to overseas addresses costs a minimum of £15. Overseas deliveries arrive within 1-5 working days in Europe and the US, or within 1-7 working days for the rest of the world; please call us on +44 (0) 141 552 4551. Parcels will need to be signed for in person so please ensure the delivery address is an address where you will be at (home or work). If you are not present when your parcel is delivered, the courier company will leave a calling card and you will be able to reschedule your delivery for a more convenient time.

Please also note that any duty and taxes incurred in the country of destination are the responsibility of the customer.

Special Orders

At Brazen we aim to please. If an item you have seen is no longer available, or if you would like to have something specially made, please ask us. The item will be a Special Order, which means it will be made especially for you as it is not a piece that we are carrying in stock. Due to this fact the piece of jewellery cannot be exchanged or returned at all.

Once the request of a Special Order order has been verified we will send you a written confirmation of this with an estimated order time. We request that you reply to us via email to acknowledge and confirm that you are happy with these terms of the Special Order. The order can then be processed as soon as we receive payment. This can be made in full or by means of a 50% deposit  (for items over £350). In the instance a deposit is put down to secure the order you will be contacted by a member of the Brazen team to confirm its completion and to secure the final balance before dispatch.

Gift Vouchers

You can purchase gift vouchers at Brazen. These will be added to your shopping basket as a normal item. Your gift vouchers will be sent to you or the recipient of your gift in the post.

Gift vouchers are available in a variety of denominations starting from £20. You can purchase any value of voucher. Your gift recipient will be able to redeem them against any jewellery purchase by entering the unique code at checkout.

Returns Policy

Any item of jewellery (other than earrings) may be returned for a full refund within 7 working days from the day you receive the items. In keeping with the Consumer Contracts Regulations certain items are not permitted for return and this includes earrings or other piercings for health and safety reasons.

We ask that you notify us by email that you wish to return the item(s) and ensure all the original packaging is included and the item is unworn. We advise that you use Royal Mail Special delivery or other trackable method so a tracking code is provided for the return of the item.

We will process your refund after your receiving the goods and provided they fulfil the parameters of this return policy.

RETURNING FAULTY GOODS

Faulty items will only be accepted if the goods are delivered to the customer damaged, or if there is a subsequent manufacturing fault within a period of 12 months after delivery. All items returned as faulty will be inspected, and any item displaying damage deemed to be a result of fair wear and tear will not be accepted as faulty. *NOTE* Your statutory rights are not affected. Where possible, items may be repaired on request but only where such items are deemed faulty and repairable. Repairs do not come with a guarantee. It may be possible for us to repair items which have suffered wear and tear. There will be a charge for this service, which is to cover the cost of shipping and any other costs incurred.

All items can be exchanged for an alternative item or for a credit note. Returns received outside the above time frames are accepted at the discretion of Brazen and can only be refunded as a merchandise credit.

Exchanges are possible, but exchange items can only be dispatched after the returned goods have been received and undergone a quality control check.

Exchanges received outside of the above stated timescales are also subject to product availability and the customer will incur any shipping costs for such exchanges. Any further returns of exchanged items outside the stated timescales will again be at the customers cost for shipping and refunded only as a merchandise credit.

Brazen will not accept returns for any items that have been worn and tags removed. Upon receipt of an order, if any item has been received with no tags, customer should notify us (by phone or email) on the same day if they wish to return.

We strongly advise all customers to check their purchase thoroughly upon delivery before removing any attached tags and before disposing of any original packaging.

In the event of any failure to return any goods to us within the stipulated time limits, even though validly cancelled, we shall have the right to charge any costs of recovery of the goods.

Please be aware that international customs duties and sales taxes are NOT refunded for shipments outside the European Community (EU).

Gift Returns

If you have received an item from Brazen as a gift you can return it for an exchange or a credit note within the parameters outlined in this Returns Policy. Please call us on 0141 552 4551 (UK) or +44 (0) 141 552 4551 (overseas) to arrange this.

Exchange:

You will be charged for any difference in cost and any additional shipping, taxes and import duties. 

Credit note:

Once issued, credit notes are valid for 12 months.
