Shona Guthrie graduated from Glasgow School of Art in 2005. Night skies, surrounding environment and written word inspire her work. Her work often bears a strong sense of geographical identity. Combinations of precious and non precious metals create vibrant colour contrasts; while the use of cast natural forms and text creates pieces that are not only rich in texture but that also carry a sense of history.
