Brazen is an independent jewellery and goldsmith studio which was founded in 2004 by designer and director Sarah Raffel, a Silversmithing and Jewellery graduate of The Glasgow School of Art. Driven by a deep passion for design, Sarah combines traditional craftsmanship with innovative techniques.

She launched the original Brazen Studios in Glasgow’s Merchant City as a collaborative space for independent designer-makers, quickly becoming a vibrant hub for retail and creativity. During this time, Sarah received several prestigious awards, including the Deutsche Bank Pyramid Award, the Prince’s Scottish Youth Business Trust Award, and the NESTA (National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts) Award.

As Brazen evolved, its focus naturally shifted towards bespoke jewellery design; working closely with clients to transform ideas into meaningful wearable pieces. Today, the studio remains rooted in design-led thinking, blending expert hand craftsmanship with digital techniques to create unique, highly personal jewellery.

Alongside bespoke commissions, Brazen also offers its Studio Collections: a curated range of one-of-a-kind and limited edition designs available online, reflecting the studio’s creative vision.
