BRAZEN JEWELLERY WARRANTY & RETURNS

WARRANTY OVERVIEW

Your Brazen jewellery is crafted to the highest standards using quality materials and comes with a 1-year warranty.

This warranty covers any manufacturing or design faults that may become apparent within the first 12 months of purchase. If a manufacturing or design fault is identified, we will repair or replace the item, or its affected parts, free of charge, subject to the conditions detailed below.

However, once your jewellery leaves the studio, it becomes your responsibility. We cannot offer warranty coverage for damage caused by wear and tear, accidental knocks, improper care, or general use - even if only worn occasionally. This includes issues such as the loss, chipping, or breaking of stones, unless deemed a manufacturing fault. In such cases we’ll assess the item and provide a quote for necessary repair work.

DESIGN CHOICE DISCLAIMER -

When designing bespoke jewellery, we will do our best to advise you where possible if any design details may impact the piece’s longevity, durability, or practicality over time. Please note that our warranty does not cover damage resulting from design features requested or approved by the client that may compromise the structural integrity of the piece. By approving a custom design or style, the client accepts responsibility for any wear, damage, or breakage that may result from those specific design elements during normal use.

Please refer to our Jewellery Care Guide for advice on how to look after your jewellery and minimise the risk of damage.

IMPORTANT NOTES ON STONE CHARACTERISTICS -

Both natural and lab-created gemstones may feature inclusions or unique natural internal characteristics. These are not considered defects but are part of the stones natural individuality. We always aim to highlight such features in person or through clear photography. Familiarising yourself with your stone upon purchase is the best way to know what is “normal” for your piece.

Some gemstones are more sensitive than others - reacting to temperature changes, sunlight or everyday wear. We always advise accordingly and encourage reading our care guide for specific stone recommendations.

If you notice any changes in the colour, clarity, or feel of your stone, we welcome you to contact us for advice.

CONDITIONS OF WARRANTY

In addition to the above, please also note:

  • The warranty does not cover loss or theft. We strongly recommend insuring your jewellery. Further details can be found on our Jewellery Care page.

  • The warranty only applies to items made by Brazen Studios.

  • The warranty does not cover the damage of gemstones or diamonds provided to us by a client, whether heirloom or new.

  • If your item is altered, repaired or serviced by another jeweller during the warranty period, the warranty will be void.

  • The warranty is void if jewellery is knowingly exposed to risky activities or substances, such as household chemicals, sports or manual work.

  • Chains and other standard manufactured findings that we use are excluded from the warranty.

  • We offer a complimentary annual steam clean and inspection for life. This is a great opportunity to keep your jewellery in top condition and check for signs of wear. Appointments can be booked here.

JEWELLERY IS NOT INDESTRUCTIBLE - Even diamonds can be damaged under the right conditions. We want you to enjoy your jewellery for many years, therefore regular care and periodic maintenance needs to be a priority, even within a short time of ownership.

If you notice any signs of damage such as a loose stone or broken claw, please contact us immediately for further advice.

Please note, there is no obligation for us to carry out repairs after the warranty period has expired. You are free to use any reputable jeweller for future repairs or resizing, and we may even recommend this for more specialised work e.g extensive laser repairs, or if timeframes don’t match.

After your warranty period has expired
, any repair work will largely be assessed as customer damage and is likely chargeable. We will always examine each piece individually and provide clear advice on costs.

We also reserve the right to decline repair work if we believe the item is beyond restoration. In such cases we can provide options for a full remake.
