BESPOKE PRICING EXPLAINED
Each piece of bespoke Brazen jewellery is designed and crafted entirely from scratch - a truly one-of-a-kind creation that naturally involves more time, detail and specialist work than our ‘Ready to Wear’ or customised collections.
Our bespoke process includes hours of dedicated design work, from hand-drawn sketches to the careful sourcing of individually selected diamonds or gemstones. Your piece is then custom-modelled, cast in precious metal, and finished in our workshop to the highest Brazen standard.
Your initial consultation is always obligation-free. After this meeting, we’ll provide a tailored guide quote based on current metal prices, your chosen stones, and the complexity of your design. Having a rough budget in mind at the outset is helpful, as it allows us to offer the best guidance on gemstone and metal options to suit your vision.
PRICING VARIABLES
STONE CHOICE
One of the biggest variables in bespoke jewellery is your choice of stone. Factors such as type, rarity, clarity and carat weight will all influence cost. We’ll source the best possible options based on your budget and are always happy to suggest alternatives that allow you to prioritise design and style without compromising on beauty.
If you have existing or heirloom stones, these can often be remodelled into your new piece - helping to reduce the cost of purchasing new gems. However, all stones must be assessed in advance to ensure they’re suitable for remodelling. We also take great care in safely removing and cleaning any existing stones, so sundries charges will apply. In some cases, older gemstones may benefit from being re-polished or recut to restore their brilliance.
METAL CHOICE
We work with all precious metals and will guide you toward the best option based on your design, budget and lifestyle. It’s important to understand the properties of different metals, as some may be more suitable for everyday wear or certain settings. Metal prices fluctuate regularly, and the quantity required will depend on the scale and style of your design. For example, a 5mm gents band will require significantly more metal than a delicate 2mm band.
DESIGN COMPLEXITY
Every bespoke piece is entirely unique, and the complexity of your design will naturally affect the final cost. Some pieces may not include gemstones but require detailed technical drawing and advanced design work. Others may feature multiple diamonds or stones which increases the time needed for precise setting and finishing.
As a general guide, our starting prices for bespoke projects are outlined on the relevant bespoke information pages.
If you decide bespoke isn’t the right fit for you, we also offer a thoughtfully curated collected of ‘Ready-to-Wear’ pieces. These can be viewed online or in person by booking a Private Jewellery Viewing appointment. Our jewellery collections span a wide range of price points and are all designed and created in-house by Sarah and the team. Many pieces are one-of-a-kind, so you can still own a unique Brazen creation without the wait time of a full bespoke process.
